COLUMBUS – At 11:30 am on March 2, 2020 American Red Cross of Central Ohio awarded Jack and Suzi Hanna with the Humanitarian of the Year award.
The award given annual since 1997, “honors a local individual who has great humanitarian concern for our community and who has made
our community a better place to live and work. Based on the Fundamental Principles of the World Red Cross Movement—humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteer service, unity and universality—the award finds focus in the first of these principles—Humanity.”
For more than 40 years in Columbus, Jack and Suzi have brought wildlife and conservation education to audiences around the world through Jack’s countless TV appearances, speeches, and their three award-winning TV series: Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures, Into the Wild and Wild Countdown.
