David Allen Hayes Sr., 60, of Chillicothe, died 3:14 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, in the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 3, 1955, in Chillicothe, to the late Robert J. and Thelma M. Chaney Hayes.
He was married to the former Karen Reese, who died April 17, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Davina Sue Hayes and her fiance, Scott Knotts, of Chillicothe; a son, David Allen Jr. of Laurelville; granddaughters, McKayla Babbs, Christa Casebolt, Taylor Casebolt and Brooklyn Hayes; three brothers; two sisters; and many special friends.
David was a member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, in the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Rev. Randall L. Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
