CIRCLEVILLE – U.S. Route 23 northbound between North Court Street in Pickaway County and Route 665 in Franklin County will be reduced to one lane this week for pavement work.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT District 6) reports the project will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with all lanes open during the evening and overnight hours.

A more intensive project affects drivers using state Route 188, which includes North Court Street from Main Street downtown to Northridge Road, then east to Pontius Road at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park.

The Route 188 project will reduce two-way traffic to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Aug. 15, according to ODOT.

Traffic will be maintained by a flagging crew, and “no parking” signs will be erected during pavement resurfacing within city limits while work is performed.
