February 3

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of Barnes Avenue, and the caller also requested to speak with an officer regarding prowlers in the area. A report was taken on the prowler complaint.

– Officers responded to a 911 call from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles office on West Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– An employee of the Berger Hospital emergency room reported a male subject was in the ER advising he had been assaulted on Jan. 31 but refused to give them any other information and did not want a report. The district officer was advised.

– A resident in the 200 block of South Pickaway Street reported a known subject stole her debit card and left the residence. The subject was located on the lot of Dollar General on Lancaster Pike, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Hanson Aggregates on Town Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported the crossing gates were down at the South Court Street railroad tracks but no train was coming. Norfolk Southern was advised.

– A resident in the 1800 block of Pacer Court reported hearing music in her attic, and she believed it was coming from the neighbor’s house. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 400 block of East Main Street.

– A 911 caller reported his wife called and stated someone was jiggling the door handle at the residence in the 800 block of South Pickaway Street and may have been trying to break in. Officers advised the scene checked OK. A male subject advised someone was following him, and he went to the residence to get someone to call the police for him.

– Officers assisted with a disabled vehicle in the area of Court and Main streets.

– Scott Reid was arrested for possession of narcotics following a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Court Street.

– A resident came to the police station to report a theft by a known subject. No report was taken, and the resident was advised it was a civil issue.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Scioto Street reported he found pills in his shed. A report was taken on found property.

– A male at the Berger Hospital emergency room advised he was jumped in the parking lot at Tim Horton’s the day before and was complaining of left knee pain. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 900 block of Lincoln Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a male subject with a red Solo cup was walking in the area of Edgewood and Route 188 and appeared to be intoxicated. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A property owner in the 200 block of Lewis Road reported tenants had damaged the walls of the residence after they were evicted.

– Shawna Jarrell, 45, was arrested in the 700 block of South Washington Street after a caller reported a female was in the parking lot lifting car door handles and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

– A caller reported she was backing out of an alley and struck a pole in the 100 block of East Mill Street. No report was taken.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 100 block of York Street.

– A 911 caller reported two juveniles were fighting in the street beside Kroger on Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported a known juvenile was riding his go-kart in the street at Logan and South Washington streets, and she was afraid he was going to be struck by a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller reported finding a needle in the roadway in the 300 block of East High Street.

– A caller reported a truck was “mudding” in the field behind Heritage Ponds. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported someone had broken the windows on his vehicle. A report was taken on vandalism.

– An employee of Rent A Center on U.S. Route 23 reported a television was stolen and pawned. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident on Alma Avenue in Elsea’s Mobile Village advised someone had stolen her car battery.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported he was backing out and struck a vehicle. A report was taken on a property damage accident.

– A resident at Apple Ridge Apartments reported a male subject was going door to door claiming he was with First Energy and asking everyone for their electric bills. The subjects were advised.

– Tashalia L. May, 30, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 300 block of Eva Drive.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Mound Street reported she had fallen asleep while a known subject was visiting, and now she was missing $80. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pizza Cottage on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– Troopers from the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported locating a vehicle that was reported stolen from Circleville.

February 4

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported an object was thrown through a window after an argument with an unknown person. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A 911 caller reported his entry door in the 100 block of West Franklin Street was kicked about 30 minutes earlier. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported a noise complaint regarding a loud radio or TV. The scene checked OK upon arrival. The resident then called back to report the noise continued after the officer left. The officer could not locate the complainant but spoke with another neighbor, who reported they had not heard anything. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported damage to her fence. The officer advised it was a suspicious person complaint, and the caller was advised to call back when the subjects were on her property or fence. No report was taken.

– A caller reported a suspicious male on the railroad tracks at North Western and Highland Avenue. The officer transported a juvenile to CMS, and a report was taken on an unruly juvenile.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Union Street reported her window was broken and items were missing. The officer advised it was a civil issue.

– A caller reported finding drug paraphernalia by the dumpster in the rear of the 100 block of South Court Street. A report was taken on found property.

– An officer performed a stand-by in the 400 block of East Mound Street for the service of a nuisance complaint notice.

– A resident in the 200 block of East Main Street requested to speak with an officer regarding threats she was receiving by phone. The officer advised the caller of how to handle the scam. No threats were reported.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at Scioto and Main streets.

– An employee at the Savings Bank reported a bad check. A report was taken on forgery.

– A caller reported he lost his wallet and was requesting documentation of the loss. Information was obtained.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 400 block of East Ohio Street for the Humane Society to remove a dog from the location by court order.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Union Street reported his wife was taking property from his house. The caller was advised it was a civil issue.

– Jacob M. Skaggs, 27, was arrested on two counts of theft and a parole violation after a 911 caller reported a heater had been stolen on U.S. Route 23. The suspect vehicle was located at the Twin Oaks apartments on South Court Street, and an officer advised a male attempted to jump from a second story window but went back inside. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence, and Skaggs was taken into custody.

– A caller advised a storm door was standing open on Edison Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the residence.

– A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding a theft involved in the civil issue in the 400 block of East Union Street. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 500 block of Sycamore Drive reported he had confirmation a package was delivered by UPS, but it was missing from his front porch. Upon checking with UPS, they advised it had been lost. The complainant requested a call slip documenting the incident.

– Extra patrol was requested on Clair Court after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Mound Street reported damage to her vehicle. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A resident came to the police station to report she believed her son’s phone was stolen at the library. The incident was documented, and library staff were assisting in locating the missing phone.

– A 911 caller from Genesis Health Care on Atwater Avenue advised she was OK but needed someone to talk to. The caller was advised on the use of 911, and Genesis staff advised they would handle the situation.

– A resident came to the police station to report he had been punched in the face by a known subject in the 100 block of East Franklin Street. A report was taken on a domestic dispute with assault.

– A resident in the 300 block of Brown Street reported a neighbor was playing loud music. The officer advised the subjects to turn the music down.
