Pickaway County High-Speed Chase Involves Minors and Guns

PICKAWAY – On Saturday April 25, 2021 around 1 am a chase occurred after an attempted traffic stop in Pickaway county.

According to the Sheriffs department the chase started with a traffic stop on Pickaway Counties North side and when it ended it was in Franklin county at US-62 and US-71 just outside of Orient.

During the chase the deputy saw a black bag tossed out the window before the car blew a tire and spun out of control into a grassy field beside the interstate.

When Deputies approached the car they found several juveniles teens in the car and one 18 year old. In the bag they found several handguns, they did not release if those guns were legal or stolen.

Several juveniles are now facing delinquent charges ranging from Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle, Tampering With Evidence, and Failure To Comply.

Abdul Bonsu was charged and booked into Pickaway county sheriffs department for Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle, Tampering With Evidence, and Failure To Comply.
