Man Hunt Ends, Delgado Found Dead in Pond

ROSS COUNTY – The man hunt is over for a man who was wanted in the attack of two women with a baseball bat.  The body was found earlier today around 4 pm on Baker road, the same road that the vicious attack was made.  Sheriff Charlie Reader recently “I want this guy captured. If you see him, no question ask, give us a location and we will go search. No one will be mentioned in providing the information. He has moved to the top wanted in Pike County. He must be located and arrested….” Delgado had warrants for Felonious Assault, Rape, and Kidnapping.

According to a woman who lives on Baker road, the white car that was seen leaving the scene of the attack was found wrecked just down the road from the pond last week.

According to a press release by lavender, “Sheriff Lavender reports that the body of Jeffrey R. Delgado was discovered by a property owner in the 500 block of Baker Road at approximately 4:00 p.m. today.

The investigation to this point appears to be suicide. The body is in the custody of the Ross county Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.”
