KENTUCKY – A Kentucky Sheriffs office is planning on rocking a classic in their DARE Program, a 1998 Pontiac Firebird.

Around the First of this year, Deputy Bill Rudie our Fairview School Resource Officer, got a call from a friend in the D.A.R.E. Program. Deputy Rudie was told about a 1998 Pontiac Firebird D.A.R.E. vehicle that the Shepherdsville Police Dept, wanted to donate to a D.A.R.E. Program.

From the photos you can tell that the DARE officers who built and took care of this vintage machine did not pull any stops, from the tinted windows, the custom rims, and the custom upholstery. On the hood is the classic lion from the DARE Program.

Since the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department has an Active D.A.R.E. program we reached out and we received this vehicle as a donation to the program.

This past week the Boyd Co. Fiscal Court accepted this vehicle on behalf of the Boyd Co. Sheriff’s Departments D.A.R.E. program.

“Thank You Deputy Bill Rudie for your dedication to D.A.R.E., the Children you teach at School, and the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department.”
