September 8, 2019
Deputies responded to a Trillium Way for an attempted burglary. The case remains under investigation.—–

September 8, 2019
Deputies responded to a SR 678 residence for a domestic violence complaint. Upon arrival the suspect in the case had left. After the investigation, deputies submitted a request for a warrant to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

September 10, 2019
An Adams Ave. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a neighbor dispute. After investigation, deputies determined that the matter was not criminal in nature, but a civil issue.—–

September 10, 2019
A Voris Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report that they had received a phone call from a person claiming to be a law enforcement officer in New York. The person said that their grandson had been arrested for OVI and if they sent several hundred dollars via Western Union the charges would go away. The victim did not send the money they contacted their grandson, who was at work and not in New York.—–

A Tillium Way resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of violating a protection order that had occurred on August 16th.—–

A SR 664 resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of menacing. The victim told deputies that they had been threatened after earlier in the day confronting a person who had been looking in parked car windows and trespassed on a neighbor’s porch.—–

Deputies responded to a Stump Run Rd. residence for a criminal damaging complaint. After investigation, it was determined that the issue was civil in nature and not criminal.—–

September 10, 2019
Deputies received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the Laurelville area. The case has been referred to the detective bureau for investigation.—–

September 11, 2019
Deputies responded to a theft complaint at a Bellia Rd. residence. The case remains under investigation.—–

A SR 93 resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report and incident of domestic violence. After investigation deputies arrested Aaron M. Miller, 28, Logan and charged him with domestic violence and assault and he was transported to the SEORJ.—–

September 11, 2019
Deputies responded to a Meada Rd. residence for an unruly juvenile complaint. After investigation, the juvenile was taken to another family member’s residence for the time being.—–

September 12, 2019
Deputies while on patrol, were flagged down at a Carbon Hill-Buchtel Rd. residence for a domestic violence complaint. The case remains under investigation.—–

September 12, 2019
Deputies were requested by the Vinton County Sheriff’s to assist in arresting Michael A. Davis, 32, Logan for a warrant. When deputies arrived Vinton Co SO had Davis in custody. When transferring Davis to our cruiser, Davis was found to have 7 prescription pills on his person. Additional charges of possessing dangerous drugs will be filed on Davis.—–

September 13, 2019
A Hawk St. Carbon Hill resident reported a person missing. She told deputies that her boyfriend left for work at the Taco Bell in Nelsonville that morning, but didn’t return home after work. A relative had searched the area, but hadn’t located him.
