HIGHLAND COUNTY- Sheriff Searching For Escaped Inmate

Highland County- Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that on Nov. 11, an inmate by the name of Rem Michael Skeens, 19, was transported to Highland District Hospital on a medical issue.

According to Barrera, Skeens was being held in jail for a fourth-degree felony assault charge out of Highland County Common Pleas Court.

Skeens was transported from Highland District Hospital to the Ohio State University Hospital (Wexner Medical Center) for further treatment. While there, Skeens signed himself out of the hospital.

Skeens is now wanted for escape.

Barrera said that Skeens may be described as a white male, six feet tall and approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
