LANCASTER – Lancaster Fire Department with the aid of Greenfield Township Fire department and Local police, responded to a structure fire at approximately 9:45 on Friday the 29th. The building is located at 330 East Wheeling St. in Lancaster, Ohio.
Lancaster Fire Department claimed the fire was in the attic and second story of the home. The home is divided into several apartments that contain a total of three residents. Lancaster fire department told us, that Lancaster police carried an elderly woman to safety. Lancaster fire saved a family pet locked in a kennel. No one was hurt, but all residents have been displaced from their homes. Red Cross was involved to help residents with temporary housing.
