CENTERVILLE – Police are reporting a wild ride two people went on today when they crashed into a LA fitness in Centerville and right into the pool submerging the car.
According to police the accident occurred around 2 pm today at the LA fitness located at 45 West Alex Bell Road. The driver who was in the parking lot before crashing somehow lost control of the vehicle and went through the window and into the pool.
Police said there were people in the pool during the crash. The driver and passenger luckily were not hurt in the accident and the swimmers in the pool only received minor injuries.
It took a heavy duty tow truck with heavy lifting power to remove the car from its watery abyss.
LA Fitness says it will be closed at least for today.
