CHILLICOTHE – An organization that aims to keep youth from drugs will perform its 150 miles relay race this weekend after being delayed in April.

The organization supports local Drug Free Clubs of America at local high schools called M.A.D.E. (My Attitude Determines Everything). This race will be the major fundraiser for these teenagers that represent over 2,000 members.

The Buck Fifty is a 150 mile race through three state parks in the area, but that will not be ran by just one individual but teams of 10 runners and two drivers to cover the area. Runners will run sections of the race and then transported to another stretch while partners run other sections. For example one runner will run section 1,11,21 and another runner will run section 2,12,22. Its a team effort!

This year according o press release from the race they have about 65 teams of 12 people. To be safe due to COVID-19 teams will have a staggered start and will start in small ground of 4-7 runners spaced out.

Due to COVID-19 concerns food vendors and beverage have been cancelled at the event. Please watch for runners in Ross County this weekend.
