The Circleville City Council is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Council Clerk. The assistant clerk is responsible for keeping records of all proceedings of the City Council and ensures the responsibilities of the City are carried out in a prompt, efficient, courteous and lawful manner. Rate of pay is $14.00 per hour.

This position requires professionalism, strong organization skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and an ability to work effectively with the public, city employees and public officials. The assistant clerk records, maintains and files accurate meeting records and prepares agendas, reports and public documents. The assistant clerk also fills in for the council clerk in his/her absence. This is a part time position requiring up to ten hours per month. The successful applicant should be available to attend evening meetings once or twice per month, normally a Tuesday or Wednesday.
