17-Year-Old Shot in Columbus Then Transferred Away from Crime

COLUMBUS – Police say that a teen was shot last night while in a vehicle on Columbus North Side.

According to police on June 6, 2020, at 7:49pm, officers responded to 5593 Chatterton Road on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located the victim, 17-year-old Teron Coleman, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.


Coleman was subsequently transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
It was later learned that the victim was traveling in a motor vehicle in the area of Gender Rd. & Refugee Rd. when he was struck by gunfire. Coleman then traveled to the Chatterton Rd. location where police were notified.


This case is under investigation.
