WILLIAMSPORT – During preparation for valve replacements in Williamport that would shut the water off overnight a water line has been hit and now that maintenance has been pushed back.
According to the City of Willamsport in preparation for the work that was going to be done tonight, a water main break occurred. Crews are on site repairing the water main. The water should be restored by 4:00 PM today.
The originally scheduled valve replacement will be rescheduled for the following week. More details to follow. There will be a precautionary boil advisory until further notice.
