ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Five people were involved after a Jeep left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert late Friday night in Concord Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. July 31, 2026, on County Road 87, also known as Frankfort Clarksburg Pike, near U.S. 35.
According to the patrol report, a 2015 Jeep Renegade was traveling northbound on County Road 87 when it drove off the right side of the roadway. The Jeep struck a concrete culvert before coming to rest in a ditch.
The vehicle was occupied by five people.
The driver, Daylan M. Davie, 26, of Canal Winchester, was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control, according to the crash report.
Four passengers were also listed in the report:
- Tatiana E. Harris, 24, of Reynoldsburg
- Lovetta R. Vanvoorhis, 30, of Chillicothe
- Haley J. Leach, 23, of Frankfort
- Macyleigh Hufferd, 22, of Chillicothe
Vanvoorhis was transported by Concord Township EMS to Adena Medical Center with suspected minor injuries, according to the report.
Leach was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with suspected serious injuries.
The report lists Davie, Harris and Hufferd as having no apparent injuries.
The crash report indicates alcohol was suspected as a factor. The report also lists the vehicle’s speed as 50 mph, compared with a posted speed limit of 55 mph.
The roadway was closed for approximately 30 minutes while the crash was investigated. The Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived at approximately 12:07 a.m. and cleared the scene at 2:49 a.m. Aug. 1.
The Jeep was towed from the scene by Eitles Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
