Update – Drugs and Guns Found after Domestic Violence Situation in Circleville

Circlevile – On February 7, 2024, Officers from the Circleville Police Department responded to a domestic situation at 682 East Mound Street. As a result of swift and decisive action by law enforcement officers, John Graves was apprehended at the scene and charged with serious offenses including two counts of Domestic Violence, Strangulation, two counts of Assault, and Obstruction of Official Business.
Following the initial arrest, a comprehensive investigation was launched, leading to the acquisition of a search warrant for the premises. The subsequent search uncovered a disturbing array of items, including:
• 11 firearms
• Methamphetamine
• Drug paraphernalia
• Currency
• Prescription pills
• Property belonging to the State of Ohio prison systems
• Property belonging to a Deputy Sheriff

In light of these findings, Mr. Graves faces additional charges, including Weapons Under Disability, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and multiple counts of Receiving Stolen Property, which includes four of the eleven firearms.

This is a significant seizure that underscores the commitment of the Circleville Police Department to ensuring the safety and security of our community. We will continue to actively investigate individuals involved in criminal activity to the fullest extent of the law.
