Frankfort – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash on State
Route 138 near mile post 10.
On November 23, 2023, at approximately 1:04 P.M. a 2005 International 9900i, was driven
by Byron P. Gearhart, age 64, of Chillicothe, Ohio. Mr. Gearhart was traveling eastbound
on State Route 138 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch,
and overturning. Mr. Gearhart was transported to Grant Medical Center via Med-Flight.
The Patrol was assisted on scene by the Concord Twp. Fire Department, The VA Fire
Department, ODOT, and Med-Flight.
The crash remains under investigation.
