Pickaway County, OH – Yesterday, several residents inquired about the visible presence of Lancaster police in Pickaway County. The Pickaway Sheriff’s Department has now revealed that they hosted a US-23 interdiction, a multi-agency operation aimed at combating drug trafficking and crime, this is one of those arrests.
Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey announced the successful results of the operation, which involved surveillance and multiple traffic stops in Pickaway County. The joint effort between the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, Circleville Police Department, South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit, and the Ohio Investigative Unit yielded:
- 13 citations
- 52 warnings
- 2 arrests
- 31 grams of Methamphetamine seized
- 2 grams of Fentanyl seized
- 1 gun seized
One of the arrests made during the operation was Ryan H. Foster, who was stopped for speeding and found to be driving under suspension. A search of his vehicle revealed a Taurus G9C 9mm pistol, marijuana, and a crystal-like substance, which was identified as 1 ounce of methamphetamine.
Foster was arrested for possession and weapons under disability, cited for speed and driving under suspension. The vehicle’s registered owner, Nicole McMichael, arrived on scene and took custody of the vehicle.
