ASHVILLE, Ohio — Local business owners are asking for the public’s help after an audacious overnight break-in at a village retail storefront earlier this week.

According to store management, the C&J NAPA Auto Parts store, located at 99 E. Main St. in Ashville, was burglarized late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

A Brazen Break-In

Instead of smashing a window or prying open a front door, the unknown suspects utilized a destructive entry method. Management reports that the thieves cut a large hole directly through the side wall of the building to gain access to the interior.

Once inside, the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise and tools before fleeing the scene. The break-in was discovered the following morning when employees arrived for their shift.

Reward and Video Evidence Requested

In response to the heist, the local NAPA store has announced it is offering a financial reward for any information that directly leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible.

Store representatives are heavily leaning on the local community for help and are urging neighboring residents and business owners to check their security systems.

How to Help: If you live or work near the East Main Street corridor, management is asking you to review any Ring doorbell camera footage or exterior security video captured between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Anyone who noticed suspicious individuals, unusual vehicles parked nearby, or has footage that could aid investigators is asked to contact the store directly at (740) 983-4133, or reach out to store representatives Tye or management via instant message with tips. Information can also be forwarded directly to the Ashville Police Department.
