ASHVILLE, OH — ArtsaRound, Pickaway County’s premier non-profit arts organization, has officially named Teays Valley High School senior Nolan Lupfer as the recipient of the 2026 Collegiate Art Scholarship.

The competitive scholarship is open to students across all county schools who intend to pursue professional instruction in the arts at the post-secondary level. Lupfer, who was nominated by his teacher Jody Hall, emerged as the top candidate following a rigorous selection process that evaluated artistic portfolios, community involvement, and future vision.

A Vision for the Future

Lupfer’s artistic reach is already well-established in the local community. His work has previously earned “Best in Show” honors at Teays Valley High School and has been featured in exhibitions at both the ArtsaRound Gallery and the Circleville Pumpkin Show.

In his application, Lupfer detailed how the creative process has shaped his identity and career path.

“Through my experience creating and viewing visual art, I’ve learned a lot about myself and what my future holds,” Lupfer stated. “I’ve developed a deep passion and appreciation for art and its impact on others.”

Lupfer plans to transition his artistic talents into the field of architecture at Kent State University this fall. His goal is to blend aesthetics with functionality, creating “artistic designs that people enjoy being in.”

A Standout Student-Athlete

Beyond his studio work, Lupfer is a prominent leader within the Teays Valley community. His resume includes:

  • Academic Leadership: National Honor Society Treasurer and Student Council member.
  • Athletics: Captain of the cross country and tennis teams; Vice President of the Athletic Leadership Council.
  • Extracurriculars: Jazz band member, Team 23 Drug-Free Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
