Super Load Transported through Ohio, Traffic Advisory Issued

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has issued a traffic advisory for the transport of a “super load” on Friday, May 10, 2024. This marks the ninth of nearly two dozen such loads being transported from a dock on the Ohio River near Manchester in Adams County to New Albany in Licking County. The specific load being transported is a tank associated with the new Intel plant in Licking County. It measures 19 feet 2 inches tall, 16 feet 3 inches wide, 197 feet long, and weighs 436,410 pounds.

Route Information for Friday, May 10:

  • 9:00 a.m. Departure (approximate): The transport will continue to travel North on SR 104 to SR 762 near Commercial Point.
  • From SR 762, the transport will travel East to Rickenbacker Parkway.
  • The overnight location for the super load will be at Rickenbacker.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and expect delays along the designated route. Law enforcement will be escorting the super load to ensure the safety of all travelers on the road.
