CHILLCOTHE – Sumburger location on bridge street suffered a grease fire in November of 2018 and they closed for repairs. According to Sumburger, “the fire was contained to only the grill area but some improvements were wanted to be made so they took this opportunity to do that.”
According to a social media post,”a replacement grill for the location couldn’t be made until February for the location so they transferred a grill from the other Sumburger location to get the Bridge Street Location up and running.”
In a tweet from Sumburger today they said, “Hey Chillicothe, we missed you! We are hoping to open Bridge Street on Wednesday! Sumburger on Western is also open Tues-Sunday!”
Sumburger a local favorite recently expanded to a second location just a few years ago. Famous for their sum burger, coleslaw and loaded fries locals will be happy to hear that the classic story will be open for business.
