Mcarthur, Ohio – On April 28, 2024, at approximately 3:30 P.M., deputies from the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wyman Park in McArthur following reports of a stabbing incident. The prompt response came as no McArthur Police Officers were on duty at the time.

According to initial reports, the victim was stabbed and subsequently transported by Vinton County EMS to Grant Hospital in Columbus for treatment of their injuries. The severity of the injuries was not immediately disclosed.

The suspect, identified as Bradley Day, age 32, reportedly fled the scene on foot and was believed to have been picked up by a vehicle. However, deputies were quick to track him down and apprehended him shortly after the incident at a residence in Allensville.

Deputies conducting a search of the area near Wyman Park found the knife believed to have been used in the stabbing incident.

Bradley Day, pictured in law enforcement records, was subsequently transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. He faces charges of Felonious Assault and Tampering with Evidence in connection with the incident. A bond hearing is anticipated to take place in Vinton County Court this week.

The case will be further reviewed by the Vinton County Prosecuting Attorney’s office as the investigation continues.
