Southern Ohio Man Wins 1 Million on Scratch-Off Ticket

WILMINGTON, OH – Andrew Claybuagh of Xenia received a surprise windfall after winning a $1-million annuity prize in the Ohio Lottery’s $50 Billion scratch-off.

He purchased his winning ticket at True North #724, located at 5737 State Route 68 in Wilmington.

The second-tier prize is an annuity, paid as $50,000 a year for 20 years before taxes. Andrew chose the $500,000 cash option prize equivalent and will receive approximately $360,000 after federal and state tax withholdings.

As of Aug. 23, the Ohio Lottery has 85 second-tier prizes remaining in Billion, as well as other great prizes. Andrew beat odds of 1 in 235,636to win.
