As we in Circleville and Pickaway County prepare for the joys and wonder of the Holiday Season and all the traditions that come with these celebrations, I ask that each of us consider another tradition.

For the past 29 years Berger Hospice has been a haven for the terminally ill and their families. The annual Light Up A Life program that occurs on the first Sunday of December, this year on December 2nd, memorializing, not only people who have died in Hospice care, but relatives and friends of those in our community who have died or who we wish to honor.

This is the only fundraising that Berger Hospice conducts and the money raised helps care for those in Hospice care. In turn, the names of all those who are being memorialized or honored are read during the program—this year at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The program begins at 7:00 at the Pickaway county courthouse for the tree lighting and is followed by a candlelight procession to Trinity Church at 135 E. Mound St..

Contributions can be made in any amount, accompanied by the names of those you wish to honor or remember, and sent with your donation to Berger Hospice, 1170 North Court St., or Berger Health Foundation, 600 N. Pickaway St. A contribution envelope can be picked up at the Hospice Office or you can Call Berger Hospice at 740-420-7920 for more information.
