Ross County – Three People Charged, Two Arrested after Traffic Stop Yields Gun and Drug Paraphernalia

CHILLICOTHE – A traffic stop in Chillicothe led to the arrest of two and citations for the third and got a gun off the streets.

According to the Chillicothe police Department on Monday a traffic stop was conducted in the area of Jefferson Ave where police made contact with the driver identified as Misty Vanhooser who
stated that she did not have a valid license. Then the officer asked the other two people in the vehicle to identify themselves, Emmylou Kielwein was sitting in the front passenger seat and Spencer Alexander was in the back seat of the car on the passenger side. The officer then ran all three suspects through leads and it was discovered that Emmylou and Spencer both had warrants.

In the report after the two were taken into custody a search of the car was conducted, while searching police found a firearm (Smith and Wesson Shield .30 Super Carry.) The firearm was found to contain a magazine with six found of ammunition but no round in the chamber. After searching Spencer’s bag they located a brown vial containing a white powder residue and he stated that he was holding it for someone. Also located a scale and some used steel wool that is commonly put into glass pipes for smoking methamphetamine. Searched Emmylou’s bag and found a scale with some unused steel wool.

Spencer and Emmylou were then transported to the Ross County Jail where they were served their warrants. Spencer was charged with Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and Having Weapons While Under Disability along with his warrant, Emmylou was charged with Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia. Misty parked her car legally and was given a warning for driving under suspension.
