Ross County – Several Deputies and local police were called to the area of Frankfort gas station on Sunday after a 911 text came in of a robbery
According to the Ross County sheriff office, they were called to the Frankfort Valero Gas station on Sunday around 4 pm after receiving a 911 text. In the report the 911 operator told deputies that a text claiming the gas station was being robbed at the time. When in route they received additional messages stating that this was a false statement, that a child was playing with the phone. Dispatchers called the phone and a man answered. A ping found the caller at Mcdonalds in Chillicothe, but police did not find the person when they arrived.
Deputies reported that the Valero did not get robbed and there were no incidents at the location at that time.
