Ross County Overnight High-Speed Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Arrest

Chillicothe – An attempt to stop ended in a chase and arrest overnight in Chillicothe.

According to police, they attempted to stop a Black Ford F-150 around 2:40 am in the area of US-23 after the driver had been weaving and crossing lines. When the officer turned on his overhead lights the driver did not stop but accelerated. The chase went South on Bridge Street and mutual aid from Ross County was called but, the chase ended fairly quickly at the intersection of Bridge and Hopetown road where the vehicle came to a stop. Officers then struggled with the driver to get him handcuffed and according to the report took two officers to get him in custody.

41-year-old Dustin Black was taken into custody, and police charged him with OVI after suspecting he was under the influence, he was also charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and failure to comply with order or signal of PO. He is currently being held in Ross County Jail.
