Ross County OH- A statement has been released by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office regarding a recent issue with malware in their network. According to the Sheriff’s department, no “Highly Sensitive” information has been stolen as reported by “Not Scioto Post”.

Scioto Post reached out to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office back on September 22nd, 2020 immediately after receiving suspicious emails, to inform them that someone had compromised the email of deputies within the department. So this issue isn’t breaking news or an exclusive story but something the Ross County Sheriff’s Office has been aware of and working to correct since at least  September 22nd, 2020.

Here is the press release by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office today, Wednesday October 7th, 2020.
