Ross County — The Grand Jury returned all eight of their cases on Friday, May 31st, with two open for release to the public (and one returned as a misdemeanor). From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
On April 29th, a Ross County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a domestic dispute at a lot in the Kenowa Village Mobile Home Park at 14996 Pleasant Valley Road.
The officer met with the stepfather and mother of 25-year-old Dustin Alan Cradlebaugh. They said they had arrived home and found a bag of pop cans hanging from the front porch railing, and told Cradlebaugh that that was not allowed in the trailer park.
He became upset and threatened the two, and began threatening the stepfather with a cast iron pan. Cradlebagh hit the kitchen counter twice with the pan, and then struck the stepfather with it and punched him in the ribs until he passed out. When he came to, Cradlebaugh had left.
While the officer was there, Cradlebaugh returned and turned himself in, and was arrested. The stepfather was treated at the hospital.
For indictments on second-degree felonious assault with serious physical harm, and second-degree felonious assault with a deadly weapon, Cradlebaugh could get up to 16 years and $30,000 in fines. He remains in custody in the Ross County Jail.
