Chillicothe — The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 13 of their cases Friday, February 2nd, 2024, with four open for release to the public. From testimony in the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:

On December 14th, Chillicothe police officers were dispatched an apartment in the 600 block of West Fifth Street on a report of domestic violence.

The victim said she was assaulted by her resident boyfriend, 31-year-old Jacob L. Hensley. She said he got mad because she would not let him go through her purse.

The argument escalated until he threw a bottle at her face, and also hit her in the face with his fist.

Hensley has a domestic violence conviction out of Pike County Municipal Court from 2015. For an indictment on domestic violence this time, he could get up to 18 months and $5,000 in fines.
