Nanette A. Spence, age 51, of Pickerington, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at her residence.
Born Sept. 14, 1964, in Circleville, she was a 1982 graduate of Circleville High School and received her bachelors and masters degrees in nursing from the University of Cincinnati.
She started her career at Shriners Burn Institute as a clinical nurse specialist in pain management/ death and dying, then was employed at Children’s Hospital for 25 years as a nurse practitioner in psychiatry.
She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Curt Spence; daughters, Madison and Makenna Spence; father, Ernest (Karen) Martin of Circleville; sisters, Natalie Martin of Traverse City, Michigan, and Nadine Adams of Sunbury; brother, E.P. (Sandi) Martin of Spartanburg, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Marilyn Spence of Circleville; sister-in-law, Kelly Spence of Vero Beach, Florida; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Martin; and father-in-law, Ronald C. Spence Sr.
Friends may visit 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Road N., Pickerington, and one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Tim Kuenzli officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Forest Cemetery, Circleville.
