Mildred Elizabeth Schoenholtz, 81, of Chillicothe, left this world to be with her Lord 3:56 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.
She was born June 7, 1934, in Chillicothe, to the late Alonzo and Helen Harkless Edgington.
On Sept. 26, 1952, she married her loving husband, Charles E. Schoenholtz, who survives.
In addition, surviving are her son, Chuck (Cindy) Schoenholtz; her daughter and caregivers, Karen and Ed Shreve; her only grandchild and caregivers, Ryan Shreve and his girlfriend, Erin Canter, with whom Mildred lived; special great-nieces, Holly and Molly Schoenholtz, all of Chillicothe; a loving brother, Wayne (Loraine) Edgington of Circleville; a special nephew, Kenny (Marsha) Schoenholtz; a special niece, Marsha Conaway; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Floyd and Earl Edgington.
Mildred was a lifetime member of Sunrush Church of Christ. She was a retired homemaker and babysitter who enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Mildred enjoyed watching her children show horses. “MeMe” also loved to watch her grandson and nieces play sports and always supported them in all that they did.
The family would like to express a special thank you to additional caregivers, Jo Estep and Donnie Ward, and also to the Scioto Township EMS.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, in the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Evangelist James Rankhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
