Douglas E. Clem, 65, of Ashville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1949, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Gerald F. and Wanda M. (Nogle) Clem.

He retired from Wasserstrom in Columbus after 30-plus years.

Doug enjoyed remodeling and building as well as woodworking. He was a graduate of Lewis Cass High School in Indiana and was a former member of the Ashville Community Men’s Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gerald.

He is survived by his sons, Casey (Cheri) Clem and Jeremy Clem, all of Delaware; daughters, Cortney (Beau) Ramey of Ashville and Taran Clem of Columbus; and grandchildren, Colton, Lennon, Shaelynn, Aniah and Neleah.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with a celebration of life service following at 7 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at McNeeley Cemetery in Cass County, Indiana.

Family request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Center for Childhood Cancer, 700 Childrens Dr., Columbus, OH 43205; or Zangmeister Center, 3100 Plaza Properties Blvd., Columbus, OH 43219; or a charity of choice.
