August 24

– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported her father would not give her child back. The officer advised he was en route to another location to look for the child but was unable to locate anyone at the residence. A door hanger was left.

– An employee at McDonald’s reported she is being harassed and followed home from work by a male subject who sits in the parking lot and stares at her, then yells at her as she leaves. No report was taken by request, and the caller advised she would speak to the management about trespassing.

– A resident in the 500 block of Stella Avenue reported the car alarm on her vehicle had activated and she was unable to shut it off. The scene checked OK.

– An employee at Aldi on U.S. Route 23 reported there was an unknown male inside the store with him and he did not know how he got in. The caller locked himself in the office to make the call, and the unknown male was walking around inside. Officers advised a semi was backed up to the loading docks at the rear of the business, and the male was a delivery driver. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of 4th Avenue reported a burglary. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident that occurred in the 100 block of Pinckney Street.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 300 block of Watt Street. They were unable to locate the subject, and the caller was advised.

– An employee at Dollar General on North Court Street reported a male subject on a bicycle had just stolen something from the store and left headed eastbound on Morris Road. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Park Street reported a male subject with an altered mental state was being combative. A medic was dispatched to transport one subject to the hospital.

– A resident in the 300 block of Ray Avenue reported a burglary. A report was taken.

– An employee from Christopher’s Boutique on South Court Street reported thefts from the business, and she had the incidents on video. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 200 block of Town Street. The subject checked OK.

– A caller reported a possible trash burn in the 100 block of Margaret Avenue. The fire department was dispatched, and the fire was extinguished. Residents were advised of city ordinance.

– A resident in the 200 block of Ridgeview Drive reported a theft from a vehicle. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street reported she and her boyfriend were being harassed by a possibly-known male subject. No report was taken at this time.

– A 911 caller reported about 10 juveniles were fighting in the 900 block of South Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Mill Street reported the smell of gas in the area. The fire department was dispatched but found no signs of a leak.

– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported a custody issue. The officer advised the grandfather to return the child to its mother or charges could be filed against him.

– A caller reported a vehicle struck the curb in the 200 block of South Scioto Street. The officer advised the driver was not drunk and the owner had the vehicle.

– A caller reported an unbalanced female on Island Road. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– An employee at Fast Lane Marathon on East Main Street reported a theft. A report was taken.

– A caller reported traps were being set up to catch or kill skunks in the 300 block of East Mound Street. The resident was advised of the seasons in which he could trap.

– James Brantley, 35, was arrested in the 300 block of East Mound Street.

– A resident in the 100 block of Walnut Street reported a theft. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– Officers performed a well-being check on an elderly male in the parking lot at Gamestop. They were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue reported a male subject was watching kids near Lincoln Heights. The district officer was advised.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint at Faye Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

– A 911 caller reported a man was lying outside Howard’s Care Home on South Court Street. The call was canceled when the caller advised he was admitted to the facility and checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of Town Street reported finding needles in the area. Officers located and disposed of the items.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Western Avenue reported her juvenile was being unruly and had run away again. The scene checked OK, and the juvenile had returned.

– A caller reported a male subject was sleeping outside Howard’s Care Home on South Court Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

August 25

– A caller reported a suspicious person walking past their house in the 200 block of Meadow Drive. Information was obtained.

– A caller reported two male subjects checking car doors for a possible theft in the 300 block of Meadow Drive. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A 911 caller reported they were trying to close down the Taco Bell restaurant and heard noises coming from the store. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area of South Scioto Street and Harrison Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 900 block of South Washington Street.

– A caller reported finding a credit/debit card at the Pickaway County Building Department on West Franklin Street. A report was taken on found property.

– A 911 caller reported a female was on her way to Roosters on U.S. Route 23 to smash the windows out of his vehicle and slash the tires. Officers advised it was a civil issue, and the caller was referred to the Ashville Police Department.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 100 block of East Franklin Street for the Pickaway County Health Department as they delivered a nuisance letter.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported someone stole her husband’s tool kit from their vehicle.

– An employee at Kroger requested an officer review a video of a male subject attempting to steal items from the store.

– A caller requested officers deliver a message to a resident in the 100 block of Huston Street who had been involved in an earlier accident and could not be reached by the insurance company.

– A resident in the 400 block of Stella Avenue reported her vehicle had been vandalized.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident on East Mound Street at South Pickaway.

– A caller reported a disturbance in the 400 block of East Franklin Street. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported her cell phone was stolen by a known subject. A report was taken on theft.

– Daniel Lee Day, 23, was arrested in the 400 block of Stella Avenue after a caller advised a group of people were standing outside with a baseball bat taunting other people. A report was taken on assault.

– A resident in the 400 block of Faye Avenue reported an unruly juvenile. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 600 block of South Washington Street reported it appeared someone had broken into their residence. No report was taken at this time due to the landlord doing work at the location.

– An employee at the Berger Hospital emergency room reported a male subject came in stating he had been assaulted. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to reports of loud music in the 100 block of Lowery Lane. The scene checked OK.

– A caller on McCulloch Avenue reported an intoxicated male was making threats toward her and her daughter. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Gibby’s on West Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– Amy Harris, 31, of Stoutsville, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Street for an outstanding warrant from Ross County after a caller advised of a domestic dispute.
