Kathryn Ileen “Katie” Elick, age 89, died Aug. 19, 2015, at Logan Elm Health Care in Circleville.
She was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Logan, daughter of the late Edward William and Mary Catherine “Mae” (Wright) Mundy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert B. Elick Jr.; son, Stephen Elick; sisters, Lillian Woltz and Zella Aurand; brothers, Ralph, Harry, Charles, Harold and Derald Mundy; and son-in-law, Kurt Brandon.
Kathryn is survived by son, Ellery Scott (Pamela) Elick of Ashville; daughter, Bridget Brandon of Ashville; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Elick of Logan; grandchildren, Jonathan (Angie) Elick, Kevin (Laura) Elick, Tisha Elick, Stephanie (Shawn) Halley and Emily (Jason) Fields; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Gerald (Shirley) Mundy of Logan; and sisters-in-law, Eloise Mundy and Jean Mundy, both of Logan.
Kathryn was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in several hospitals, retiring from Ray-O-Vac in Lancaster as plant nurse.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at Roberts Funeral Home, 60 W. Hunter St., Logan. Funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. with Reverend Kevin D. Pees officiating.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Logan Elm Health Care Center and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care given to Kathryn.
