Arthur Harrison (Art) Wiley, 73, of Whisler, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Adena Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 2, 1942, in West Virginia, to Alberta and William G. Wiley.
Art was employed at GE for many years before retiring. Art enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved having his family and dogs around him.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Alberta Reynolds; step-father, George Reynolds; brother, William Wiley III; special brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Nancy Hill; and great-grandson, Xzavyur Huffer.
Art is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda; daughters, Tammy (Rich) Sutherland and Angie Wiley (Todd); son, Clay (Carla) Wiley; grandkids, Travis, Alicia, Caitlin and McKinzi; three great-grandkids, sister, Georganna Wade of Bay City, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special four-legged buddies, Missy and Daisy.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at First Church of Christ in Christian Union, 436 E. Ohio St. with Pastor Jay Neff officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Whisler. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made to the Adena Cancer Center.
