Ronald Gene Cain, 71, of Laurelville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2015, in Circleville.
He was born Aug. 17, 1943, in Circleville, the son of the late John S. and Opal F. (Smith) Cain.
Ron was also preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Cain; son, Michael Allen Cain; sister, Joan Marie Miller; and brothers, Charles Leonard and David Deval Cain.
Ron was retired from Reynolds Aluminum and was a member of the Elks and Eagles. He was a happy person who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He loved getting together with family and friends, reading, traveling and playing cards.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy (Young) Cain; sons, Brian (Diana) Cain, Bob (Beth) Notestone, David (Robin) Notestone and Bret (Jeannie) Notestone; grandchildren, Jonathan and Kelly Cain, Rebekka McNichols, Kayla (Ron) Diles, Cody, Leah and Lacie, Lindsay, Jessie, Ashley, Brittany and Emily Notestone; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn Irene (Delbert) Hardbarger.
An Elks service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life service with Dr. Calvin Alexander officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial of the urn will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cure for Cerebral Palsy, c/o BPOE #77, 215 N. Court St., Circleville, OH 43113.
