David Ellison Ragland, 73, of Circleville, went to be with his Lord May 21, 2015.
David was a proud 82nd Airborne veteran. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most treasured was his family.
David was born Sept. 28, 1941, to the late Ermanus H. and Mary D. Ragland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Sandy Hill and Russell Fisher.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Peggy; daughter, Kellee (Pete) Kershaw of Columbus; sons, David (Rhonda) Ragland of Dayton, Rowland “Mann” Ragland of Columbus, Robert L. (Richelle) Ginn of Grove City and Aaron (Jamee) Ragland of Columbus; brothers, Ermanus H. (Vicki) Ragland of Circleville, Stephen (Christy) Ragland of Tarlton and Warren (Bonnie) Ragland of Rockbridge; sisters, Joan V. (Larry) Bougher of Lancaster, Donna J. Hill of Circleville, Diane Fisher of Lancaster and Cynthia (Les) Duckett of Lancaster; special friend, “brother” Jeff Hobson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends; and his beloved dog, “Mick.”
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in the Wellman Funeral Home with Rev. James Lewis and Pastor Jeff Palmer officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
