Robert R. Lee, 74, of Ashville, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at his residence surrounded by the family he loved.
Robert was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Marietta, son of the late Ralph and Maude Farley Lee.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1961 to 1964.
He was a member of the NRA and the American Legion Post 64, Marietta.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Kenneth and Maynard Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Nibert; sons, Michael (Sarah) and Jeff (Flora) Lee, both of Marietta; brother, Jack Lee; grandchildren, Katy (Joey), Chelsea and Nathan; several great-grandchildren; step-son, Joe (Debbie) McVey of Monticello, Georgia; step-children, David (Linda) Renner, Stanley (Joy) Howard Jr., Theresa (Sam) Martin and Charles (Patty) Howard; step-grandchildren, Joey, Amanda, Melissa and Donald; several other grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Shirley Lee (David) of Hawley, Texas.
Family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 3, 2017, with Pastor Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial with military honors followed at Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
