Kathy (Climer) Castle, 65, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 24, 1952, to the late Donald and Betty (Clemmens) Climer and was raised by her late aunt, Dorothy Porter.
Kathy worked for many years for the City of Columbus in support services.
Along with her parents and aunt, Kathy is also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Mary Ann Climer; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob VanMeter; and brother-in-law, Donald Mohler.
Kathy is survived by sons, Brian (Casaundra) Fleming of Columbus and Damon (Maria) Young of Gahanna; grandchildren, Brian Fleming, Tre Jackson, Olivia Fleming, Katherine Fleming, Payton Fleming, Cody Fleming, Damia Young and Dayana Young; great-grandchildren, Graceland and Joshua Fleming; brothers, William (Carolyn) Climer, Bernard (Annie) Climer, Donald (Connie) Climer and Terry (Kim) Climer; sisters, Medrith Mohler, Carol Sullivan, Karen (Thomas) Muncey, Loretta (Eugene) Newsome and Sharon (Charles) Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, with service following at 3 p.m. with her best friend, Kay Fakuda, sharing memories at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. Interment will take place in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Lithopolis, at a later date.
