Leah “Jean” Lind

Leah “Jean” (Dewey) Lind, age 94, of Circleville, passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.

She was born on May 24, 1922, to the late Lemuel A. and Florence (Raub) Dewey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lind; and siblings, Wilma Louise Anderson, Helen Maxine Thompson, James “Jack” Dewey, Donald E. Dewey and Glenn Dewey.

She is survived by daughter, Phyllis (Thomas) Glass; grandchildren Elaine Hardesty, Nancy Thornton and Kenneth (Jody) Glass; great-grandchildren, Karissa and Jenna Glass; sisters, Glenna A. Frazier and Sara M. Dresbach; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Chapel, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Interment at Jackson Township Cemetery.

Jean’s family wishes to extend their thanks to Stevie Garrett and the Constance Care staff, the staff of Brown Memorial Home and to the wonderful staff of Berger Hospice for all of the care they provided to Jean.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berger Hospice Fund, 206 Sharon Rd., Circleville, Ohio 43113.
