The Pickaway County Family YMCA is giving back to cancer survivors this weekend with its annual PickawaySTRONG 5K event beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park.
All proceeds from the event go toward the YMCA’s LiveSTRONG program, which gives cancer survivors and their families a free, three-month membership and helps them with fitness and nutritional needs in a supportive group setting.
Registration is $20 and can be completed online at www.ymcacolumbus.org or on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the park.
Local event sponsors include Kingston National Bank, Constance Care Home Health Care, The Savings Bank, Circleville Sunrise Rotary Club and TS Tech (Trimold, LLC), to name a few.
