Louis Edward Roberts, 74, of South Bloomingville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016.

Born Feb. 6, 1942, he was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Spangler Roberts of Dayton; and a brother, Roger “Pete” Roberts of Middletown.

Louis leaves behind his wife, Sandra, of Vinton County; two daughters, Kimberley A. (David) Waldridge of Salvisa, Kentucky, and Christina L. Cairell of Frankfort, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Odell Scott “Brat” Hager and Cassia James Cairell, both of Frankfort, Kentucky; and a great-granddaughter, Melody Storm Hager.

Louis retired from DuPont. He was a longtime and standing member of the Eagles Aerie 600, the Loyal Order of Moose, Chillicothe, and AMVETS Post 4.

He was a Chillicothe and Ohio Bass Master. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, collecting eagles and spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by his dog, best friend, and loyal companion, Cierra.

An Eagles memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Chillicothe, followed by funeral services with Bill Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery, South Bloomingville. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Haller’s.
