Gary Gene Stevens, 60, of Laurelville, died valiantly at his home on Sept. 1, 2016. Once a Marine, Always a Marine! Semper Fi!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Jean and Della Jane Stevens; and his beloved dog, Olivia.
He is survived by his sister, Vickie; and his pride and joy, Stacey Stevens; as well as his “boys,” Donald and Sarge; and great friends such as Spank Morrison, Marc Zingarelli and Robert Young.
A 1974 graduate of Zane Trace High School, Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and then went on to work in the HVAC industry. A strong supporter of the Constitution and 2nd Amendment rights, Gary was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may come to celebrate his life from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hill’s. The family would like to encourage family and friends to bring mementos of Gary to share.
