CIRCLEVILLE – Two people were arrested on drug charges Friday after Circleville Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at the Classic Carryout Sunoco station on East Main Street.
Carla E. Crabtree, 33, and Tommy R. Davis, 32, both of Circleville, are being held in the Pickaway County Jail awaiting arraignment on the charges.
According to Sgt. Doug Anderson, Circleville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the business at 597 E. Main St. on Sept. 2 and discovered a black BMW sport utility vehicle parked beside the building, where they made contact with the two suspects.
After further investigation, Anderson and Officer Tim Myers located a large amount of a substance believed to be heroin, along with drug paraphernalia and currency totaling $2,358 in the vehicle. Anderson said officers also located a small number of pills and a substance believed to be methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Anderson said the substance believed to be heroin weighed about 9.7 grams.
Crabtree is charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.
Davis is charged with complicity to trafficking in heroin and complicity to possession of heroin.
