Norman Eugene O’Conner (Norm, Pete), 68, lost his courageous battle of cancer on Aug. 12, 2016.
Norm was a life-time member of The Monroe Mens Club, Five Points, and a member of Westfall Alumni Association.
Norm was born in Pickaway County on June 8, 1948, to Norwin and Lois (Wallace) O’Conner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James O’Conner; mother-in-law, Jerri Sines; and by brothers-in-law, Steve Caudy and William Smith.
Norm is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda (Sines) O’Conner; daughters, Shelley (Dale) Thomas and Kelley (Kevin) Smith; grandchildren, Conner Smith, Jonathan Thomas, Kyle Smith and Caleb Smith; sisters, Linda (Eddie) Weimer and Delores Weimer; father-in-law, Carroll Sines; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Diane) Sines, Cheryl Caudy, Steve (Ruth) Sines, Patty (Raymond) Strait and Lannette Smith; step-mother, Mamie O’Conner; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Muhlenberg Darbyville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
