Lincoln Ernest Isaac, 85, of Circleville, “kicked the bucket” (one of his favorite phrases) on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1931, in Ashville, to Charlie and Rose (Nelson) Isaac.

Lincoln served two tours of duty in the Army as a sniper, paratrooper and scout during the Korean War.

He was the owner of Isaac Tree Service, Isaac Septic and Sewer Service and a landlord of many properties.

He was a life member of the VFW, AMVETS and American Legion and was an associate member of The Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association. He helped many veterans understand their VA medical benefits and has made charitable donations to many organizations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Caudill) Isaac; his daughter, Peggy Isaac; brothers, John, Ray and Charles Isaac; and by sister, Faye Moore.

Lincoln is survived by his daughters, Mary (Larry) Dewitt, Anna (Robert) Lawless and their mom, Betty (Marburger) Isaac; grandchildren, Lisa McAbee, Kindra (Mark) Abbott, Heidi Dewitt, Danyell (Kim) Dewitt-DaSilva, Tiffany and Sean Lawless; great-grandchildren, Braden, Luke and Megan McAbee and Alex Dewitt; siblings, Goldie Lindsey, Martha Lester, Dolly Perkins and Ralph Isaac; and by special niece, Connie Wooten.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
