Herman Jeffries Jr., 70, of Circleville, passed away Sunday night, Aug. 7, 2016, of cardiac arrest.
Herman was born on Dec. 21, 1945, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, to Herman and Zelda (Sayre) Jeffries.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War with the helicopter rescue unit and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, AMVETS and Eagles, all of Circleville.
He recently retired from Durable Slate Co., where he worked for 22 years.
Herman is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Potts) Jeffries; his children with Evelyn Jeffries, Bobbi Jo and Raymond (Amanda) Jeffries; four grandchildren, Dylen, Malcolm, Hannah and Jacob Ray Jeffries; brothers, Delmas and James Jeffries; and by sisters, Ethel Snodgrass, Gail Hopps and Elvira “Sissy” Searfof.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
